Becoming
a Travel Savvy News Sponsor
Travel Savvy News
(TSN) relies on its sponsors and other support to bring its visitors the
best niche-oriented news about discovering the hidden away places
that make the USA so great a place to live in and visit. Becoming a Travel
Savvy News sponsor -
-
Increases your exposure on the
Internet by providing an additional way for visitors to access
your site.
-
Allows you to provide at least one
article (or more!) per year for publication on our site (more
below).
-
Display your company's logo,
background information and article listing on the TSN website.
-
Access to your listing is
prominently displayed on numerous pages; not hidden away in the
background somewhere.
-
Viewed by over 2,000 visitors a
month - and growing!
More importantly - All Sponsors
and the articles they supply are "refereed." That
means that only businesses and organizations (and the articles
they submit) we consider must comply with goals and intent of
the TNS website. This helps insure that our Sponsor's articles
are not mixed in with a jumble of irrelevant material.
We do not accept non-Sponsor
articles for publication, except by special arrangement and at
the discretion of TSN.
And all this for less than $35 per
month ($400 annual subscription) and that includes all setup and
installation fees plus publications of the articles you supply at
no extra charge!
The ability to include your own
articles relating to your business is almost worth the "price
of admission" by itself. On most referral sites you typically
get to include only a brief bit of background information
about your company. Providing current business information or
recommendations related to your business or a regular basis is
simply impossible.
We do business differently - we
allow you to provide us with current information about your
business or organization any time you want and as often as
you feel necessary by publishing information-based articles of
interest to our visitors! (More...)
How to get
started -
Simple: To be considered for our
list of preferred Sponsors, just send us an email to
either Sponsoring@TravelSavvyNews.com
or - use our Contact Page and indicate
Become a sponsor... in the How may we help you?
box.
We will contact you to discuss
your Sponsorship in detail, usually within 24-72 hours.
After that, use our online
payment system, send us your complimentary first article and
- you're good to go!
About
Sponsor Articles -
We allow our sponsors to use PDF files for
their articles! Not only do PDF files allow our Sponsors to
create the best quality presentation with maximum impact, PDF
files:
- Are the closest to a
"universal" presentation medium available on the
Internet
- When printed, they are far
superior to a printed web page - that is:
- Page breaks are retained
- Images are in the same
place and quality as the original
- Type faces are preserved
- PDF files can be created
easily through a variety of PC programs - without having to
install costly of the Adobe Acrobat®
software. 1
- Special note:
Assistance with creation of PDF articles is available
through our third-party support service: HirMon
& Associates, Inc. Support services through this
service is not covered by a Sponsor's annual subscription
and additional fees may apply.
We only accept PDF files for
sponsor articles. We cannot accept (among others):
- Graphic images of articles
- Word/WordPerfect
based articles
- Web page (HTML) articles
The Contents We Expect
-
Sponsor articles should contain
information that can be used by a majority TSN visitors and
the least time-dependent in nature as possible. That is:
A Time-Share sponsor might include
comments about the benefits of time-shares, the pitfalls to
avoid and other information that will be useful to visitors
over a long period of time. Including special offers or
other time-dependent information within the article is
self-defeating since that information will become useless to
visitors after the offer expires. Instead, use a comment
such as Contact us for our latest specials! (along
with pertinent contact information). This approach allows
for in-house presentation of current information to
prospective clients.
Other articles can be:
- An expansion of the brief notes we
provide about your business or organization
- Regional events of interest and why
visitors should consider attending them.
Hint: Avoid putting a calendar of
events into an article that will be obsolete. Instead, put
one or more links to websites that support those events so
that visitors can access the website for current
information.
- Specific destinations (again - use
links to supporting websites and not "fixed"
information that will go out of date)
Of course, we cannot hope to answer
every question about the article you might have in mind but
for more information, use the Contact
page to let us know your concerns and ideas!
How to send us your
Sponsor article -
- Finished articles are supplied
to us as ready-to-use Adobe Acrobat PDF files (e.g.
an email attachment). This means that -
- Sponsors are free to create
their own articles with any contents (text, photos,
etc.) they desire and in any page layout format 2
- The articles we receive are
normally published to the TSN website after review and
within 7 days of receipt.
- The annual subscription allows
publication of one article per year, however -
- Additional articles may be
published at any time for a nominal $75 fee per article
- There is no actual limit
on the number of articles that can be published by a TSN
sponsor
- Additional articles
(except for the first one provided during a subscription
year) will be invoiced separately. Remittance must be
received prior to publication on this site.
Like our Sponsors, we reserve
the right to review the contents of all articles for
compatibility with the intent of the TSN website and other
considerations to protect our visitors. We do not typically
accept "sales flyers" or other time-dependent
pieces, since the goal of the TSN website is to provide
quality long-term information to our visitors.
1 While not a specific
endorsement by Travel Savvy News, there are a number of
programs such as PDFCreator (PC) available free of charge on the
Internet that "act like a printer" and will create PDF
files through any Windows program! To use these
program, create your document the way you normally do it. When you
are ready to create the PDF file, use your program's Print
command and select the PDF "printer" from the list of
available devices. Follow the on-screen instructions and - job
done!
Other programs are available; some
are free and some are provided for a nominal charge.
2 One caution about PDF
articles should be noted, however.
You may certainly include
information regarding sales or other special offers, but
remember that the articles we expect are primarily
information-based. Once we publish a Sponsor's article, it will
remain on this website - forever. If you include special
offers, you must include specific wording that clearly indicates
the time period for which the offer is valid.
